9/11 We Remember

Always in Our Hearts & Never Forgotten

9_11-618x400Several networks are planning tributes to the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Though the observances have become more muted over time — this was most apparent in the eleventh anniversary’s coverage, especially following the tenth anniversary memorials — most networks still have at least a moment of silence planned on Wednesday morning.

Al Jazeera America’s Del Walters will cover the day’s memorial events from New York City from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. ET.

ABC plans to observe a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. ET, the time that the first hijacked flight hit the Twin Towers, during “Good Morning America,” as it has done in previous years.

CBS will cover the anniversary as part of its regularly scheduled broadcasts.
